I work and live with Windows and Android, having a preference for their freedom and diversity (along with their complexity and chaos). I have tried and am trying many hardware and software products, and here are the main tools I am using daily.

Hardware

HONOR MagicBook Art 14 2025: Ultra-slim with 1kg and 1cm.

HONOR Magic7 Pro: HONOR’s flagship smartphone, with a larger battery than other brands. Compatible with GMS.

HONOR Earbuds Open: HONOR’s flagship earbuds, stable to wear. No special features compared with other brands.

NiZ-X87: Electrostatic capacitive keyboard with a lightweight 30gf actuation force.

Logitech MX Master 3S: Ergonomic mouse with fast electromagnetic scrolling.

iReader Ocean5 Pro: Fast-refresh e-reader.

Software

WinGet: Unified software installation and management for Windows.

Oh My Posh: Prompt engine displaying dynamic information in your terminal, such as folder paths, Git status, system resources, and coding language versions.

Traffic Monitor: Network speed, CPU, and RAM usage monitor with a taskbar widget.

Affinity: Alternative to Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

AxMath: Mathematical equation editor for Windows, an alternative to MathType, used with Affinity for drawing mathematical diagrams. (Paid software)

FastStone Image Viewer + FastStone Capture: Fast image browsing (including PSD and PDF); full-featured screen capture (Paid software).

Typora: Markdown editor with real-time preview. (Paid software)

Zotero: Research paper manager.

Nutstore: Synchronous network disk for storing Zotero papers and personal documents. An alternative to OneDrive, but with WebDAV support. (Subscription-based service)

Calibre: Full-featured e-book management software. Its e-book libraries can be stored in Nutstore.

7-Zip: Open-source file compression tool.

MiKTeX + VS Code (with extensions LaTeX Workshop, LTeX+, One Dark Pro, and Material Icon Theme): LaTeX writing environment.

Firefox: To support the diversity of web browser engines, I recommend giving Firefox a try. I primarily use its Android version, which is much better than Chrome and Edge on Android.

Websites
